Questionnaire from Mrs Lilian Scott, age 61, from South Clifton,
dated 6/2/81. She remembered seeing a play on Plough Monday
in the years 1924-29 in the kitchen of her father's farm in
Brant Broughton. Characters included the doctor, St George and
possibly the devil. She understands that the play has been revived
in Brant Broughton by Mr David Bagworth. At some time after 1929,
she lived in Kingston in Cambridgeshire where the plough boys
toured the village on Plough Monday, cracking whips at every house
door and collecting money.
