Description:

This group was started in September 2005, mainly as a resulting of hearing Doc Rowe give a talk on the mumming tradition, and feeling that we could do something similar in Widcombe, which is part of Bath. We were fortunate to find keen local actors and musicians, and to get support from the Widcombe Association.

We mix pure Mumming traditional themes and words with local content and jokes, usually aimed at some point of controversy in the area. There is a healthy mix of music mainly from 'English' traditional sources. Performances on New Year's Day. Details on website.
