Happenstance Mummers and Players incorporates Mad Moll Mummers and Mayers with fresh locations, ideas and scripts without losing any of the old doggerel and cheesey puns. Mad Moll moved west from Hitchin, Herts to Winchcombe and are now creating seasonal mayhem and over acting in Gloucestershire! Our next new project is to recreate celebrations of our local saint, St Kenelm with a miracle play and procession on July 17th 2010.

We offer traditionally inspired folk theatre combining old with new, celebrating the changing seasons and updated for topicality. Each lasts about 15 minutes, suitable for all ages.

Herefordshire

Leominster Morris [Website]

Description:

Original side died out c.1914. We dance mainly Welsh Border Morris, but some Cotswold as well in Summer months. Chief play event is The Wassail on Twelfth Night, which we revived in Jan 1984. Wear our interpretation of 'cheap print jackets' from notes by E.C.Cawte describing the original kit.
