UNLOcATED GUYSERS(?) PLAY - (KIMBERLEY AREA ?)
A fragment given a letter to the Eastwood Historical Society, postmarked 15/1/1972, in answer to an article by Peter T. Millington. No name or address or location given. The postmark was Eastwood, but this does not preclude its coming from the Kimberley district, since all mail posted there is sent to Eastwood for machine cancelling. The Kimberley area is suggested as a location for this fragment, since it resembles others from this area. This decision is however open to criticism.
THE LETTER:- Eastwood Historical SocietY.
Dear Sir,
After reading your article of the Guysers, it brought to mind one of the characters, an old man. Which went.
Here comes old Belzibub, On my head I carry a tub, In my hand a dripping pan, Don't you think I'm a jolly old man. Whether we stand or whether we fall, We do our duty to please you all. |
