        <l xml:id="40">Three Actors here I have brought so far from Italy;</l>
        <l xml:id="50">The first I do present, he is a noble king,</l>
        <l xml:id="60">He's just come from the wars, good tidings he doth bring.</l>
        <l xml:id="70">The next that doth come in, he is a doctor good,</l>
        <l xml:id="80">Had it not been for him, I'd surely lost my blood.</l>
        <l xml:id="90">Old Dives is the next, a miser you may see,</l>
        <l xml:id="100">Who by lending of his gold, has come to poverty.</l>
        <l xml:id="110">So, gentlemen, you see our actors will go round,</l>
        <l xml:id="120">Stand off a little while, more pastime will be found.</l>

        <l xml:id="160">For remember, good sirs, this is Christmas time;</l>
        <l xml:id="170">The time to cut up goose pies now doth appear,</l>
        <l xml:id="180">So we are come to act our merry Christmas here :</l>
        <l xml:id="190">At the sound of the trumpet, and beat of the drum,</l>
        <l xml:id="200">Make room, brave gentlemen and let our actors come,</l>
        <l xml:id="210">We are the merry actors that traverse the street;</l>
        <l xml:id="220">We are the merry actors that fight for our meat;</l>
        <l xml:id="230">We are the merry actors that show pleasant play,</l>

        <l xml:id="320">And I that gain'd the Egyptian monarch's daughter,</l>
        <l xml:id="330">In Egypt's fields I prisoner long was kept,</l>
        <l xml:id="340">But by my valour I from them escaped :</l>
        <l xml:id="350">I sounded loud at the gates of a divine,</l>
        <l xml:id="360">And out came a giant of no good design,</l>
        <l xml:id="370">He gave me a blow, which almost struck me dead,</l>
        <l xml:id="380">But I up with my sword and cut off his head.</l>

        <l xml:id="390">Hold, Slasher, hold, pray do not be so hot,</l>

        <l xml:id="420">And send thee to Satan to make mince pies;</l>
        <l xml:id="430">Mince pies hot, mince pies cold,</l>
        <l xml:id="440">I'll send thee to Satan ere three days are told,</l>
        <l xml:id="450">Now hold, prince George, before you go away,</l>
        <l xml:id="460">Either you or I must die this bloody day;</l>
        <l xml:id="470">Some mortal wonnds thou shalt receive by me,</l>

        <l xml:id="500">Thou hast ruin'd me by killing my only son.</l>

        <l xml:id="510">He gave me a challenge, why should I him deny</l>
        <l xml:id="520">How high he was but see how low he lies.</l>
      </sp>

        <l xml:id="530">O Sambo!  Sambo!  help me now,</l>
        <l xml:id="540">For I was never in more need;</l>
        <l xml:id="550">For thee to stand with sword in hand,</l>
        <l xml:id="560">And to fight at my command.</l>

        <speaker>Sambo</speaker>
        <l xml:id="570">Yes, my liege, I will thee obey,</l>
        <l xml:id="580">And by my sword I hope to win the day;</l>
        <l xml:id="590">Yonder stands he who has killed my master's son,</l>
        <l xml:id="600">I'll try if he be sprung from royal blood,</l>
        <l xml:id="6620">And has his ruin thoughtlessly begun</l>
        <l xml:id="610">And through his body make an ocean flood,</l>
        <l xml:id="620">Gentlemen, you see my sword's point is broke,</l>
        <l xml:id="630">Or else, I'd run it through that villian's throat.</l>

      </sp>

        <l xml:id="690">All diseases both within and without,</l>
        <l>Broken heads, legs, arms and the gout :</l>
        <l xml:id="710">Come in an ugly, nasty, dirty brute,</l>
        <l xml:id="720">Whose age is threescore years or more,</l>
        <l xml:id="730">Whose nose and face stand all awry.</l>
        <l xml:id="740">I'll make her very fitting to pass by</l>
        <l xml:id="750">I'll give a coward a heart if he be willing,</l>
        <l xml:id="760">Will make him stand without fear of killing :</l>
        <l xml:id="770">And any man that's got a scolding spouse,</l>
        <l xml:id="780">And wearies him with living in the house;</l>
        <l xml:id="790">I'll ease him his complaint and make her civil,</l>
        <l>Or else will send her to the treadmill.</l>
        <l xml:id="810">Ribs, legs, or arms, when any's broke, I'm sure</l>
        <l xml:id="820">I presently of them will make a cure;</l>

        <l>So here's a doctor rare,</l>
        <l>who Travels far from home!</l>
        <l>And with my pills.</l>
        <l>I cure all Ills,</l>
        <l>past present, and to come.</l>

        <l xml:id="870">And likewise have as many more dissected,</l>
        <l xml:id="880">To cure a love-sick maid, like me there's none,</l>
        <l xml:id="890">For with two of my pills the job I've done;</l>
        <l xml:id="900">I take her home and rub her o'er and o'er,</l>
        <l xml:id="910">Then if she die ne'er believe me more.</l>
        <l xml:id="920">To cure your son, good sir, I do fear not,</l>
        <l xml:id="930">With this small bottle, which by me I've got;</l>
        <l xml:id="940">The balsam is the best it does contain,</l>
        <l>Rise up, my good Prince George, and fight again.</l>

        <l xml:id="1170">As you've had sweethearts, boys, girls, and fools;</l>
        <l xml:id="1180">I love a woman, and a woman loves me,</l>
        <l xml:id="1190">And when I want a fool I'll send for thee.</l>

        <l xml:id="1270">Our king is slain, the crown is likewise gone;</l>
        <l xml:id="1280">Take up his body bear it hence away,</l>
        <l xml:id="1290">For in this place no longer shall it stay.</l>

        <l xml:id="1300">Bouncer buckler, mummer's dear,</l>
        <l xml:id="1310">And Christmas comes but once a year;</l>

        <l>Some say he's up again, and gone to be a grocer.</l>
        <l>I went to my Aunt Betty's to get some bread and butter</l>
