Letter about a play performed by the informant's grandfather "around
Alfreton", Derbys., in the 1920s. A fragment of text for Beelzebub is given,
and a Doctor is also mentioned.
A follow-up letter from the informant's mother (G.E.Hunt) indicates that the
specific location was Riddings, Derbys., and the performance at about the turn
of the Century.

Letter about a "Guisering" play performed by the informant's father in
Riddings, Derbys., at about the turn of the Century. It was performed at
Christmas by actors called Guisers. Fragments of text are included. The
characters included; a first man, Be-elzebub, Sir George, the wounded man's
father, and a Doctor.

performed by boys during World War II in Somercotes, Derbys. The characters
were: Enter-In/William of the Great, St. George, Bull-Slasher, a Doctor, and Beelzebub. The play
was performed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day in Somercotes,
Lower Somercotes, Leabrooks, and Riddings.
