LOCAL NOTES AND QUERIES No. CCCCLXXI. THE MORRIS DANCE AT EYAM
*Nottinghamshire Guardian, 6th Jul.1889

"It was a custom in the early part of this century for the young men of Eyam to prepare and dance a morris on the wakes Monday, in Eyam Edge, a mountain top near Eyam. I do not suppose this custom is still practised, but I shall be pleased to know when it was discontinued. The Wakes at Eyam are held, I believe, in August or September."
