"A MUMMERS' play written specially for the villages of Elston, Syerston,
Sibthorpe and East Stoke by Mr Dennis Essex, a retired school teacher of
Village Way, Farndon, was produced by him in All Saints' Church, Elston, on
Sunday.
Those taking part were Mr Joe Fielding, headmaster of St Peter's Church of
England School, Farndon three members of his staff - Mr Ron Cooper, Mr Ed
Hallinan and Mr Chris Ward - and Mr Cooper's wife Audrey and daughter Alison."
